Toggle1. Distinguish from Color.
- Pine. The raw material of pine seems a bit black on the surface, so when you check it and find it a bit black, that means the raw material is Pine.
- Poplar. Poplar is a bit white compared to Pine. If the innner side of MDF board seems white, which means the raw material is Poplar.
2. Check the density
The density of MDF board can be classified into three parts, namely LDF(low-density fiberboard), MDF(Medium-density fiberboard), HDF or Hardboard(High-density fiberboard).
- LDF, density can be ranged from 620 kgs per CBM to 650 kgs per CBM.
- MDF, density can be ranged from 650 kgs per CBM to 680 kgs per CBM.
- HDF, density can be ranged from 680 kgs per CBM to 800 kgs per CBM.
MDF board is wide used for slatwall panel, slatwall display.
3. Thickness
The biggest advantage of MDF board is that the thickness can be ranged from 1 mm to 30 mm. The most welcomed thickness are 1 mm, 3 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 9 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18mm, 22 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm.
4. Formaldehyde Content Release Standard
As per Formaldehyde content release stand, we classified into E0, E1, E2 grades.
- E0, the formaldehyde content release stand should less than 0.5 mg per liter.
- E1, the formaldehyde content release stand should less than 1.5 mg per liter.
- E2, the formaldehyde content release stand should less than 5 mg per liter.
